The DSCC launches a new Collins ad, slated to run in Portland and Bangor.
Wouldn't call it elegant, exactly. But it does get the point across.

AMERICANS AGAINST ESCALATION IN IRAQ
LEWISTON PRESS EVENT
Thursday, July 12
12:00 pm
At the District Offices of Senator Susan M. Collins
11 Lisbon St.
Lewiston
Speaker: Arthur Whitman,
Veteran and Resident of Auburn
Americans Against Escalation in Iraq
invites Maine residents to tell Susan Collins what we think
of her support for troop escalation in Iraq.
Senator Collins has expressed her opinion here in Maine that the troop surge is not working and a new strategy is needed,
but her actions in Washington, DC tell a different story:
Senator Collins has voted to keep US troops in Iraq.
It is time to let Senator Collins know that the war in Iraq is a priority for Maine. Over 6,000 Mainers have served in the Iraq War, 26 have lost their lives, and 159 have returned home injured. Now is the time to bring our troops home and find a political solution to the conflict overseas.
Please join us on July 12 outside Senator Collins’ Lewiston office and make sure that your voice is heard.
